To have the chance to facilitate this untameable fruit is a true pleasure.

Grown and hand nurtured by a third generation grape grower on the sand over clay western soils of Kalimna, Barossa Valley. The anonymous Conspirator’s father planted the dry grown Grenache vines in 1938 during World War II.

Fermented in small vessels with an intuitive 5% of whole bunches & hand plunged. Extended skin contact for a minimum of three weeks to allow maximum extraction of fruit, colour and tannin. Pressed to seasoned barrels where natural secondary fermentation occurs. Racked off heavy lees & given a year of reflection before bottling.

Strawberries, candy, aniseed are mingled with hints of chocolate, mint and assorted peppers. Balanced, un-tampered acidity welds front palate to back offering a generous length that pulls you back to the bottle for more.

A complex, balanced & intriguing example of old vine Grenache.
