The 6th incarnation of this incantation…

Baron Von Warblers Pagan Perfume is a six barrel batch of beautifully hand crafted Barossa Shiraz. Whole bunches of Shiraz are hand picked from the ‘Casino Strip’ in Marananga, aka Roennfeldt Road. The grapes are de-stemmed into a small stainless steel vessel where fermentation is initiated. Gently pumped over twice a day the fruit is pressed after a week of skin contact to second and third use American and French Hogs Head barrels. A natural secondary fermentaion occurs in wood before the wine is racked of lees and returned to barrel for a 20 month meditation before bottling.

The almost two-year sojourn in barrel allows the wine to become balanced, relaxed and rounded. Showcasing ripe and robust red fruits, blackberry jam and notes of sarsaparilla. The lure of a soft and elegant tannin structure lends itself to the wines generous lengthy palate.
