The Cabernet for this Curious Potation was grown by an old friend Henry who passed away late last year. Henry used to tell me a story about how all the towns in the Barossa were built Nine Miles apart as this was how far a horse and cart full of grapes could travel in one day before being stabled overnight and making the return trip the next day. So in his memory the name of the wine was created. RIP Henry.

An aroma of blackcurrant, blackberries and salted caramel spring from the glass. A backbone of blackberry, blueberry, mint, licorice, chocolate and confectionary bountifully bounce out of the bottle once poured, capturing the essence of a warm climate cabernet cleverly climbing on the shoulders of Barossa Valley Shiraz. A rich vibrant colour, a fine grained tannin grip and a jovial and joyful acidity.

This wine is balanced and full flavoured, enjoy now or cellar for 5-10 years to taste its evolution.
