Two barrels of Stone Well Cabernet are blended with a single barrel of Marananga Shiraz to make this magnificent Barossa Valley Cabernet/Shiraz.

This was the first time I’d made a Cabernet for myself and the last wine I made at my old boys winery. That shift away from the family winery in 2022 was a cataclysmic event in my journey, hence the name of this wine.

A pleasant bouquet of eucalyptus, spearmint and dark chocolate entice the consumer to not tally too long before tasting the wine. On the palette the potation is smooth and rounded, fruit forward and frivolous with a fine tannin structure and balanced acidity. Flamboyant flavours of dark chocalate, mint, blackberry jam and ripe plums linger and lounge longingly.
